ASLRT Mission Statement
The purpose of National ASLRT is to provide a place for PreK-12 ASL professionals and administrators to address best practices and issues related to ASL as a content subject in the areas of language development, curriculum, instruction, and assessment for deaf and hard-of-hearing learners in PreK-12 educational settings. 



Required Opening Session

“ASL and Deaf Children: Language Planning Toolkit for ASL Professionals”
The content of the training will cover the evolution of ASL instruction in PreK-12 Deaf Education, roles of ASL professionals, examples of instructional activities, and a checklist of steps necessary to implement ASL as content subject.  This is a requirement for those who are attending the ASLRT.


ASLRT Participants
The American Sign Language Roundtable is designed for ASL professionals working with deaf and hard-of-hearing learners such as ASL teachers, ASL specialist, ASL curriculum coordinators, ASL/English bilingual specialists, school administrators, linguists and ASL researchers working in PreK-12 educational settings.
